I am the founder of an online organization called The Professional Black Woman™ (www.thepbw.com). We are celebrating two years of great success, and we have accomplished in a short span of time a database of more than 900 worldwide contacts and a rapidly growing network of 1,500 Facebook members. We are hosting our inaugural event: The Winner’s Summit Conference & Expo™ ~ Savvy Advice ● Practical Application for Winning Women!™ This year’s theme is “How to Stay on Top during Any Financial Climate.”
The Winner’s Summit will be held in Baltimore, Maryland at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Inner Harbor Hotel, Friday, March 19 & Saturday, March 20, 2010 – in celebration of Women’s History Month. Our purpose is two-fold – to educate professional business women on enhancing their strategies in the areas of sales, marketing, social media, branding, investing, and “going green”; secondly, to provide a platform for prosperous partnerships, mentorship councils, and intense, interactive, and practical training sessions.
This event will be the official launch of The Professional Black Woman Association™ , that will provide continuous live and hands on support through out the year. There 4 key elements of the association: “Terrific Tuesdays “~ A weekly teleconference, self directed audio and visual training modules, The Professional Black Woman University™ – A 13 week webinar workshop conducted by top industry business experts, designed to educate participants on raising capital, writing business plans , developing marketing strategies and other foundational business principles; and Wealthy Sistas® – weekly blog talk radio show that features 6 &7 income earning women (www.wealthysistas.com).
Highlights of the conference include: The Legends Welcome Reception, honoring an accomplished business woman, an Exclusive Fashion Show by upscale and award winning designer Abia Blachaje of Los Angeles (www.abiablachaje), a performance by a celebrity recording artist, and cash and door prizes. A portion of our proceeds has been earmarked for The Sister’s Network® (www.sistersnetworkinc.org), a non profit organization for breast cancer survivors.
